Great to be back in Bali at Mercure Sanur Beach

3rd time we have stopped here and the fist since covid but was great to be back. The staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Stopped in Room 164 our favourite room. Lovely big room and double bed and access to the terrace which overlooks the well kept gardens. A minutes walk to the wonderful beach with plenty of sunbeds and is never busy. 15mins into town but plenty of smaller shops/Warungs only a short walk away. Very quiet area no noise at night Had 2 Spa treatments both 90mins couples massage again brilliant. Thank you too all the staff and looking forward to our return

Seafood Buffet - Never Again

We didn't stay here but had seen them advertising the Seafood Buffet on a Monday night. My wife decided it would be a good birthday meal and so booked us in. The buffet is right on the beak itself which was a lovely setting however the breeze did make much of the food quite cool if not tepid. The food itself we both thought was very poor. To advertise it as seafood buffet was probably a bit strong. Sure, there was seafood, but the small prawns were black over the charcoal and cooked to the point of being reduced to mostly shell. It was much the same with the odd pieces of fish that were cold, dried out and generally unappealing. There were some nice salads and Potatoe dishes, but we weren't there for salad we paid IDR200,000 each for a seafood buffet. There were deserts however a shot glass full of creamed rice and a jam sponge roll fell somewhat short of the mark. Overall, the worst food experience in our 3 week stay. The least value for money and the least tasty and enjoyable. We have many meals in many other Warungs and restaurants they were all far better and far better value than this.

Stayed 6 nights, First impressions were wow, we had the $175 - Executive King Room, bit out dated but bed was really comfortable, room house keeping was average at best, repeatedly asked for extra towels and I don’t know whether they didn’t understand or not but the message wasn’t adhered too. Room and Pool towels are very average and need replacing, they need to be put in the bin. Great position right on the beach, the Genius Bar on the beach is great also, frequented it most days. Probably stay somewhere else next time

Not bad...not good....but could be so much better...

I live in Bali and didn't want to have a long gojek ride after getting back to Sanur port from Nusa Penida. The Mercure Sanur is cheap...I'm Gold Accor...my expectations where...not high! Check-in. It looks like if you do check-in at 6pm, 75% of the staff has a "trainee" tag. We all start somewhere and my trainee was very willing to help. But I'm not the one supposed to train your staff...Supervisors are there for this...if only you can find them! Got upgraded to an "executive" room. Well....old, clean and basic is what can best describe the room. Remember, it's a cheap stay. Stay...it's what it is...perfect for a good walk in Sanur, use the hotel as a base and nothing more. Check-out...wrong bill...not sure he was a trainee...took ages to deal with. Points credited...was a point and cash stay...obviously they didn't credited the points and I had to follow up with All Accor. Would I go there on holidays. No. Is it ok for a one night stay, I guess so... where I come from, we say, you get what you pay for...so now you know...

My stay here was absolutely amazing. The staff are great but I want to say a special thank you to Dedi. Dedi was the most gracious man we have ever met. He helped organise tours and was always available to answer our questions. Dedi you are an asset to the Mercure Sanur. The location was great with walking distance to the beach. Amazing place and we are already planning our next holiday. Thank you
